Fortnite Treasure Hunters begins Sunday, November 1 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time with a new 80-player island, One Piece powers, rotating captains, and a fresh Battle Pass. Epic has also published the dates for Captain Days and the first major Item Shop arrivals, so players can plan the opening weeks without guessing.
What time does Fortnite Treasure Hunters start in the U.S.?
Epic lists the season launch for November 1 at 9:00 AM ET. That converts to:
- 6:00 AM Pacific Time
- 7:00 AM Mountain Time
- 8:00 AM Central Time
- 9:00 AM Eastern Time
Most of the United States changes from daylight saving time earlier that morning, so use the local clock times above rather than converting from Saturday’s offset. A major update can also require downtime before matchmaking returns. Install the patch early, but do not assume the servers will open before Epic’s announced 9:00 AM ET start.
The outgoing Halloween schedule is covered in our Final Spritemare guide. Treasure Hunters replaces that short event with a full season and a much larger roadmap.
What is Crossbones Isle?
Treasure Hunters moves Battle Royale to Crossbones Isle, a new map designed for 80 players. Epic’s announcement confirms One Piece locations including Arlong Park and Windmill Village, plus the $.$. Rocky, a battleship point of interest led by A$AP Rocky.
Cannons provide fast movement around the island. The crossover also adds character-based powers: Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit, Zoro’s Three Sword Style, and A$AP Rocky’s Shock Rocket are the first examples Epic has revealed. Captain X’s mega chest is another mystery tied to the season’s treasure-hunting theme.
The practical priority on launch day is learning cannon routes and the space around the new named locations. Arlong Park and Windmill Village will attract One Piece fans, while the battleship’s rocket weapon should make the $.$. Rocky one of the most contested drops.
Captain Days and weekly bonuses explained
Captain Days add new weapons, Sprites, and other changes to the Battle Royale map. The first Captain Day arrives with the season on November 1. Epic has scheduled additional Captain Days for November 7, 12, 14, and 21.
Two recurring bonuses will also affect ordinary matches:
- Mastery Mondays add Captain weapons to the start of every match.
- Treasure Hours on Sundays increase drops and other treasure activity.
These windows matter for quests and weapon practice. If a Captain item is difficult to find during the week, Monday may be the fastest time to learn it. Sunday is the better choice for players who want more frequent treasure drops.
What is in the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass?
Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin headline the Battle Pass. It also includes new anime-inspired versions of Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, and Charlotte. Epic says gifting the Battle Pass to a friend grants both players a bonus Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style.
Check the gift recipient carefully before confirming. Fortnite gifts normally cannot be redirected after they are sent, and the bonus is not a reason to use unofficial account sellers or “free V-Bucks” offers.
One Piece and music skin release dates
The official Fortnite Treasure Hunters announcement gives a detailed Item Shop schedule:
- November 1: Luffy, Nami, and Usopp
- November 5 at 7:00 PM ET: A$AP Rocky
- November 7: Zoro, Sanji, and the Chopper Sidekick
- November 12: Lil Uzi Vert
- November 13: Buggy
- November 14: Kasane Teto and Captain Hatsune Miku
Epic has not published V-Bucks prices in the announcement, so any exact bundle price circulating before the Shop refresh should be treated as unconfirmed.
The date players should save after launch
Epic specifically tells players to keep Saturday, December 5 open for a Chapter 7 end event. No start time or full event format has been confirmed yet. Add the date to your calendar, but wait for a later official announcement before planning around a specific hour.
For the first weekend, focus on the new drop zones and powers, complete time-limited launch quests, and avoid buying a skin until its actual Shop price appears. The schedule is busy, but the important opening-day fact is simple: Treasure Hunters starts across the U.S. on Sunday morning, November 1.
