Pokémon GO’s Zorua Community Day takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Because the event follows local time, it begins at 2:00 p.m. in every US time zone rather than launching simultaneously nationwide.

Zorua will appear more frequently, Shiny Zorua will be available, and evolving it during the event or within four hours afterward gives Zoroark the Fast Attack Sucker Punch. Here is what to prepare before the three-hour window begins.

Zorua Community Day US times

The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your location on October 10. That means:

  • Eastern Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Central Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT
  • Mountain Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT
  • Pacific Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT
  • Alaska and Hawaii: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the local time zone

The official Pokémon GO event announcement says the evolution window lasts four additional hours. Players can therefore evolve Zorua into a Sucker Punch Zoroark until 9:00 p.m. local time.

Every major event bonus

The main bonuses reward catching rather than battling:

  • Triple XP for catching Pokémon
  • Double Candy for catching Pokémon
  • Double chance for level 31 and higher Trainers to receive Candy XL from catches
  • Three-hour Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense
  • One-hour regular Lure Modules
  • One extra Special Trade, for a maximum of two that day
  • Trades cost 50 percent less Stardust
  • Community Day snapshots can trigger a surprise encounter

The trade bonuses and special Lure behavior continue from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. local time. Regular Lures have a very high chance of attracting Zorua during that extended period, and those encounters can still be Shiny or carry a Special Background.

Is the $1.99 ticket worth buying?

The optional Special Research ticket costs $1.99 in the United States. Its announced rewards include three Special Background Zorua encounters, more Zorua encounters, one Premium Battle Pass, and one Rare Candy XL.

The ticket is most useful for collectors who specifically want additional Special Background chances. It is not required to encounter Zorua, hunt the Shiny, receive the free event bonuses, or evolve Zoroark with Sucker Punch.

A $1.99 Community Day Ultra Box will also include the event ticket and five Ultra Balls through the Pokémon GO Web Store. Compare the in-game ticket and web bundle before buying, but do not purchase both for the same account.

What to do before 2 p.m.

Clear Pokémon storage and item space before the event. Keep enough Poké Balls for sustained catching, then save Pinap Berries for high-value catches if Zorua Candy is your priority. Lucky Eggs pair well with the triple catch XP bonus.

Set aside promising Zorua instead of evolving the first one you catch. You have until 9:00 p.m. local time to compare stats, trade with friends, and choose which Zoroark should receive Sucker Punch.

If you plan to trade, agree on targets in advance. The reduced Stardust cost and extra Special Trade create a useful window for expensive Pokédex entries or Shiny trades, subject to normal friendship and trading rules.

Do you need to play all three hours?

No. Players focused on one good Zoroark can catch during part of the main window and evolve later. Shiny hunters, XP grinders, and Special Background collectors benefit more from playing longer and using Lures in an active area.

The event is free, the paid research is optional, and no code is required. Readers following other current Pokémon releases can also see our guide to the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration products.

The important deadline is 9:00 p.m. local time. Finish trades and evolutions before then so your selected Zoroark receives Sucker Punch.
