Fortnite’s Solo Ranked Cup returns today, October 12, with separate North America Central and North America West sessions. The tournament is open to eligible ranked players and uses a three-hour window with a maximum of 11 matches.

Here are the US start times, the requirements you need to meet, and the steps to join without missing your regional session.

Fortnite Solo Ranked Cup times for October 12

The North America Central Battle Royale session runs from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern, which is 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Central, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mountain, and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pacific.

The North America West session begins later, at 9:00 p.m. Eastern and 6:00 p.m. Pacific, and ends at midnight Eastern or 9:00 p.m. Pacific. Epic lists the schedules in UTC on the web, so the in-game Compete tab is the safest place to confirm that you selected the correct region.

  • NA Central: 7:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. CT / 5:00 p.m. MT / 4:00 p.m. PT
  • NA West: 9:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 p.m. CT / 7:00 p.m. MT / 6:00 p.m. PT

Zero Build Solo Ranked Cup sessions are scheduled in the same windows. Choose Battle Royale or Zero Build before you queue, because they are separate events.

Who can enter?

Epic’s official event page says players must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in their country if it is higher. Your Epic account also needs multi-factor authentication enabled.

This is a ranked event, so you must have an eligible rank for the tournament tile to appear. Open Fortnite, select the Compete tab, find the Solo Ranked Cup for your region and preferred mode, and read the tile’s current eligibility and reward details. If the event remains locked, check your rank, region, account level, age setting, and MFA status before the session begins.

How the three-hour session works

You can play up to 11 matches during the session. The limit is a maximum, not a target you must reach. Queue time and match length determine how many games you can complete, so entering early protects you from losing opportunities near the end of the window.

Epic says players can earn cosmetic rewards, but the exact thresholds and available items should be checked in the Compete tab. Do not rely on an older Ranked Cup reward chart, since requirements can change between sessions and divisions.

Points come from placement and eliminations under the current tournament rules. Review the scoring panel before your first match instead of assuming it matches a previous cup.

Quick checklist before you queue

  • Install the latest Fortnite update and restart the game.
  • Confirm that MFA is active on your Epic account.
  • Select the correct region, especially if both Central and West are available.
  • Choose Battle Royale or Zero Build intentionally.
  • Open the tournament details to verify eligibility, scoring, and rewards.
  • Join early enough to use the full three-hour window.

If you have been playing the recent Nitemare Island Reload update, remember that today’s Ranked Cup is a separate competitive playlist. Your practice can help, but the event tile and rules determine what counts.

Where to verify last-minute changes

Epic can revise competitive schedules, disable a session, or adjust eligibility when technical issues occur. Check the official Fortnite Solo Ranked Cup page and the in-game Compete tab shortly before the start time. Those sources are more reliable than screenshots or recycled schedules circulating on social media.

For US players, the practical plan is simple: enable MFA, verify your rank and region, update the game, and be ready when your three-hour session opens.
