EA Sports FC 27 is now available worldwide. The PC version unlocked on September 24 at 11:00 p.m. UTC, while the full console release followed at midnight local time on September 25. That ends the early-access window and opens the season to Standard Edition buyers on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The worldwide launch does more than remove an edition-based access barrier. It also expands the active player pool, introduces launch-day Ultimate Team content, and begins EA’s full live-service schedule. Here is what changed today and what new players should check before starting.
EA Sports FC 27 launch times
According to EA’s official FC 27 launch update, PC access began at 11:00 p.m. UTC on September 24. Console access began at midnight on September 25 in each region. For US players, that means the console version became available as the calendar changed locally, while the PC unlock happened simultaneously worldwide.
The game is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. However, not every feature is identical across generations. The Grounds, including Clubs, is limited to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Standard Edition players can now join
Ultimate and Ultimate Plus buyers received up to seven days of early access beginning September 18. Standard Edition owners can now play the complete game without relying on that premium access period or the limited EA Play trial.

What goes live with the worldwide launch
Football Ultimate Team’s first worldwide-launch Gallery Set combines Ones to Watch, Destined for Glory, and Future Stars items. EA says more than 100 Gallery Sets are available at launch across men’s and women’s leagues, clubs, and rarity-based collections.
FC 27 also changes how regular matches contribute to Ultimate Team progression. Eligible matches provide increased FUT Coin rewards and Season Points, while Champions Tokens return as a way to choose between reward options. Squad Battles remains the flexible player-versus-environment mode for completing objectives and earning weekly rewards without entering online competition.
Career Mode launches with new Manager Live challenges and Community Driven Challenges. The Grounds becomes the new home for Clubs on supported current-generation platforms, with League, Playoff, Rush, and limited-time activities contributing to Pro development.
Three things to check before your first match
First, install every available update before entering an online mode. Launch-day patches and server-side changes can affect matchmaking, squads, and stability even if the base game was preloaded.
Second, confirm that the correct EA Account is linked to your platform profile. That account matters for online friends, Ultimate Team services, and cross-play. Fixing a mistaken link after progress has been created can be more complicated than checking it before the first session.
Third, review cross-play if your friends use another platform. PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC share one matchmaking generation, while PS4 and Xbox One form another. Nintendo Switch versions do not join those cross-play pools.
What launch day does not change
Worldwide release does not erase platform differences, create cross-play between console generations, or make Nintendo Switch part of the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC pool. It also does not turn the EA Play trial into permanent ownership. Trial progress can carry into a purchased copy, but access ends when the 10-hour allowance is exhausted.
The practical takeaway is simple: FC 27 is now open to Standard Edition buyers, the early-access advantage has expired, and the full seasonal content cycle is underway. Before spending extra on an edition or membership, choose based on the digital content you still value, not an access window that has already closed.
