PlayStation Store’s Black Friday 2026 sale starts earlier than the retail holiday, and the structure matters as much as the headline discount. Sony says the promotion will include thousands of PS5, PS4, and PS VR2 games, expansions, and DLC at discounts of up to 75%.
The catch is that the complete list and regional prices will not appear until the sale goes live. If you are planning a purchase in the United States, use the dates below to avoid buying too early or missing a shorter offer.
When does the PlayStation Black Friday 2026 sale start?
The sale starts on Wednesday, November 4 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time. That is 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time for US shoppers. Sony’s official announcement says the promotion runs through Monday, November 30 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
There are two other dates worth saving:
- November 16 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific: the sale refreshes with a changed selection.
- November 20 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific: certain discounts end before the overall promotion does, and Sony says some will be replaced by new offers.
In other words, this is not one fixed catalog lasting all month. A game that looks safely discounted on November 5 may have a shorter timer, while something absent from the opening lineup could appear after the November 16 refresh.
What is actually confirmed?
Sony has confirmed savings of up to 75% across thousands of games and add-ons. It has not yet published every US price or every exact percentage. The full selection and regional discounts will appear on the official PlayStation Black Friday announcement and linked Store page when the promotion begins.
That distinction is important. “Up to 75% off” describes the maximum discount, not the discount every game will receive. Prices can also differ by region, so a screenshot or deal list from another country should not be treated as the US price.
How to prepare before the sale goes live
Start by adding the games you genuinely want to your PlayStation Store wishlist. The Store can then surface their new prices without forcing you to dig through thousands of products. A short wishlist also makes it easier to compare the opening sale with the November 16 refresh.
Next, check the exact product page before paying. PlayStation listings can include a base game, Deluxe or Ultimate edition, upgrade, season pass, expansion, or a piece of cosmetic DLC with similar artwork. Confirm the edition name, included content, and platform entitlement. If you own a PS4 and may move to PS5, look specifically for a listing that includes both versions or explains the upgrade path.
Finally, do not assume that the most expensive bundle is the best value. If you only want the campaign or core multiplayer, compare the base game plus the add-ons you would actually use. A large percentage on a premium edition can still cost more than a smaller discount on the standard release.
Should you wait for November 16?
If a game has a discount that ends November 20, waiting can be risky. Sony explicitly says some early deals will expire, so the product page’s end time should decide the purchase, not the overall November 30 deadline.
If your target game is not discounted on November 4, waiting for the refresh is reasonable. The same applies if its opening discount is modest and the listing does not show an early expiration. Keep in mind that Sony has not promised that an existing discount will improve on November 16.
Check your subscription before adding it to the cart
A sale price is only useful if you do not already have access through a subscription. Check your library and the current catalog before buying. Our guide to the PlayStation Plus November 2026 games can help you separate monthly claims from purchases.
Also remember that claiming a PlayStation Plus monthly game is not the same as owning a permanent Store license. Access normally depends on an active membership, while a purchased game remains tied to the buying account under the Store’s license terms.
The simple buying plan
Build a wishlist now, check US prices after 3:00 a.m. Eastern on November 4, and read each product’s individual end time. Recheck anything still on your list after the November 16 refresh. That approach will not guarantee the lowest possible historical price, but it will prevent the two easiest mistakes: buying the wrong edition and assuming every deal lasts through November 30.
