Fortnite Crew Changes on December 5: V-Bucks Tiers, XP, and Passes

Fortnite Crew is changing on December 5, 2026. The US price stays at $11.99 per month, but Epic is replacing the flat V-Bucks grant with loyalty tiers, adding XP boosts, ending monthly Crew Pack outfits, and removing the OG Pass from the bundle.

Current subscribers do not need to take any action to keep their membership. The important questions are how Epic counts your subscription history and whether canceling now affects the V-Bucks tier you receive later.

New Fortnite Crew V-Bucks tiers

Every member will receive at least 1,000 V-Bucks per month after the update, up from 800. The monthly amount increases with consecutive subscription time:

  • Core, months 1–2: 1,000 V-Bucks
  • Bronze, months 3–5: 1,200 V-Bucks
  • Silver, months 6–11: 1,400 V-Bucks
  • Gold, month 12 and beyond: 1,600 V-Bucks

Epic says existing members will be placed according to the consecutive months they have been subscribed during the previous 12 months. Your new amount arrives on your normal billing date, not automatically at the moment the system changes.

The in-game Crew tab will show your starting tier on December 5.

What happens if you cancel or resubscribe?

A limited transition rule protects some recent subscription history. If you resubscribe between December 6 and December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, Epic will use your most recent continuous subscription period from the previous 12 months to determine the starting tier.

If you return after that deadline, prior periods will not count and you will start at Core with 1,000 V-Bucks per month. The official wording focuses on continuous subscription periods, so separate short memberships should not be assumed to combine into a higher tier.

The new XP boosts

Crew members receive a 20% Fortnite XP boost. When a Crew member plays in a squad, party members without Crew receive a 10% boost.

The bonuses do not stack. A party with several Crew members still gives a non-member one 10% party boost, not multiple boosts. Crew members also cannot combine several Crew bonuses on themselves.

This reward favors players who actively level passes, but it does not change match damage, movement, matchmaking, or competitive rank. It is progression XP, not a gameplay power advantage.

Which passes remain included?

The price remains $11.99 USD per month. Epic says the following benefits stay in Fortnite Crew:

  • Fortnite Battle Pass
  • Music Pass
  • LEGO Pass
  • Rocket Pass Premium

The upcoming schedule includes a Music Mini-Pass on November 12, followed by a LEGO Mini-Pass and the next Fortnite Battle Pass on December 5. Epic says future Music and LEGO passes will return to their regular size and release more often after these mini-passes.

OG Pass ends on December 5

The OG Pass leaves Fortnite Crew on December 5 as Chapter 1: OG Season X reaches its conclusion. Epic says the next era of Fortnite OG is planned for late 2027.

This does not mean Fortnite OG disappears from every part of the game forever. It means players should not count on an ongoing OG Pass as part of the Crew bundle after the stated date.

Crew Pack outfits are ending

December’s Crew Pack will be the final monthly Crew Pack outfit. Epic says all remaining Legacy Styles for Crew Pack outfits, pickaxes, and back blings you already own will be granted in December, even if you are not currently subscribed.

Subscribers can receive the final December pack throughout that month. Afterward, the membership shifts more clearly toward passes, V-Bucks loyalty, and XP rather than a new exclusive outfit every month.

Is the new Crew membership better value?

It depends on how long you stay subscribed and which passes you use. A Core member gets more V-Bucks than under the previous 800-V-Bucks structure, while a Gold member reaches double that old monthly amount. On the other hand, the monthly outfit benefit is ending and the OG Pass is leaving.

A player who regularly completes the Battle, Music, LEGO, and Rocket passes can use more of the bundle than someone who only wants V-Bucks. Do not keep a subscription solely to chase a higher tier if you would not otherwise use the included content.

What current subscribers should do

Open the Crew tab on December 5 and verify the tier Epic assigns. Check the next billing date, since that is when the monthly V-Bucks amount applies. If you plan to resubscribe using previous tenure, complete it before the December 31 deadline and confirm the tier in-game rather than assuming an old subscription was counted.
