Helldivers 2 is getting a new Premium Warbond built around long-range weapons and concealment. Scope of Authority launches October 20 with two sniper-focused armor sets, a bolt-action primary weapon, an anti-materiel stratagem, and equipment for controlling enemies before they reach your position.
The announcement quickly pushed “Scope of Authority Warbond” into active US searches. Here is every confirmed item, what the new passive does, and what Arrowhead has not yet revealed.
Scope of Authority release date and requirements
The Scope of Authority Premium Warbond launches on October 20. Arrowhead has not announced an exact release time in the United States, so players should not treat an estimated regional time as confirmed.
The official PlayStation Blog announcement says the base game, Super Credits, and normal game progression are required to unlock its content. It does not list a Super Credit price. Saving currency is sensible, but any specific price circulating before Arrowhead confirms it is an assumption.

R-40 Sightliner and the new weapons
The R-40 Sightliner is a bolt-action primary sniper rifle designed for long-range precision. Arrowhead says it fires armor-piercing rounds, which gives players a dedicated primary option for targets that punish lighter weapons.
The P-44 Mist is a one-handed machine pistol. It fills the opposite role, providing a fast secondary weapon when enemies close the distance and a slow-firing rifle becomes awkward.
The LAS-44 Nova is a precision energy rifle that fires a non-explosive thermal projectile after a short charge. Like other heat-based weapons in its family, it can provide effectively unlimited ammunition if players manage the cooldown instead of overheating it.
AMW-20 Apex and G-11 Caltrops
The AMW-20 Apex is a backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle stratagem with assisted reload. Arrowhead describes it as a heavy armor-penetrating weapon rather than a quiet sniper tool. It will likely reward teams that can protect the operator and coordinate reloads, although its exact damage values have not been published.
G-11 Caltrops are thrown across an area and deploy proximity-triggered submunitions. Enemies caught in the field are slowed and stunned, creating time for the squad to reposition or line up precision shots. The combination appears designed for controlling a lane rather than simply adding another explosive grenade.
New armor and Stationary Shroud passive
The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal is light armor inspired by a ghillie suit. It is paired with the Mimetic Mesh cape and player card. The SS-15 Focal Point is a medium alternative with an asymmetric visor, plus the Boundary Banner cape and card.
Both sets use the Stationary Shroud passive. While crouched or prone, it reduces weapon sway and lowers the range at which enemies detect the player. The passive therefore improves both accuracy and concealment, but it does not make a moving Helldiver invisible.
The Warbond also includes the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and the Longshot player title.
Who is this Warbond for?
Scope of Authority is aimed at players who prefer deliberate positioning, long sightlines, and team support over constant close-range aggression. The Sightliner, Apex, and Stationary Shroud all reinforce that identity, while the Mist and Caltrops provide escape tools when a defensive position collapses.
Players who mostly use shotguns, flamethrowers, or mobile assault builds may want to wait for weapon statistics and early balance testing. A themed loadout can be appealing without automatically outperforming existing equipment.
Scope of Authority arrives one week after its October 13 reveal. Until then, the best preparation is to save Super Credits, avoid assuming an unconfirmed price, and check that the game is updated before October 20.
